About Us

At Credo Guitar, we do things a little differently. With the evolving landscape of the retail industry, it is becoming increasingly hard for small mom-and-pop shops to survive. Competition from massive online sellers, big box retail, direct-to-consumer manufacturer sales, etc. make it almost impossible for many small shop owner to sell enough to cover their overhead, pay employees, and have enough left over to support their own families. As a result, small shops are closing every day; particularly in smaller cities and towns.

And while buying online is convenient for the customer, so is having a resource in your local area to pick up a pack of strings, get some work done, or just come by and talk shop. But those local resources are continually vanishing due to the pressures of modern commerce.

To alleviate the pressures with which most small shops grapple, I operate Credo Guitar and Credo Arms Company part-time. I have a full-time job and run the store out of my passion for music and firearms in my spare time. This takes away the pressure for high sales volume. I have also built my storefront adjacent to my residence to mitigate the heavy overhead costs most shops encounter.

Doing business this way means that I don’t keep regular hours. I sell primarily on my website and offer local pickup for my local customers. And I do in-person sales, trades, and repair & gunsmithing services by appointment. I’m available most evenings and early mornings Monday – Thursday, with more flexibility Friday and Saturday. You can use the Contact Us page here on our website or call/text me at 256-323-4659 to set up a time to come by.
